The more you tell us up front, the more useful the first reply is. What you sell, how you bill, roughly what you process, and what your last processor did. If you have a termination letter, mention it: it is the single most useful document in the file.

What to have handy

None of this is required to get in touch, but having it nearby means the first reply is a real read on your file instead of a guess.

  • Your last processing statement Monthly volume, average ticket and your current effective rate all come off it.
  • Your termination or decline letter, if you got one The reason it gives, and whether it mentions MATCH, changes which acquirers are worth applying to.
  • Recent business bank statements Underwriting asks for these on nearly every high risk file.
  • What you sell and how you bill it One-time, subscription, free trial or future delivery. This moves the pricing and the reserve more than anything else.
  • Your chargeback numbers, if you know them Count and ratio for the last few months. If you do not know them, say so and we will work out where you stand.
